World Book Day

World Book Day is a celebration of books and reading. It is marked in over 100 countries around the world. We, in Rush National School, take part by dressing up as our favourite characters. See if you can spot some familiar book characters in our ‘Happening Now’ page.

Our beautiful local area

Our 6th class took inspiration from our local beach to create some artistic masterpieces. Take a look in the ‘Happening Now’ section for some more photos.

Happy New Year

As we enter a new term, we look forward to plenty of sports, drama and music to mention but a few! Lots of exciting learning experiences lie ahead. Check back regularly to find out what we are getting up to.

Halloween Hysteria

Be sure to check out some photos of some of our Halloween events in the ‘Happening Now’ section of our website.

Settling in

Our Junior Infants, picture above, have settled in very well to their new school. Our school is a busy place with our pupils learning through exploration, song, play, sport, reading and writing to mention but a few. Keep up to date with our ‘Happening Now’ page which will be updated regularly throughout the school year.

Welcome Back!

We welcome our pupils back to school on Wednesday, 31st August.  We hope you had a lovely summer and are feeling refreshed and excited for a fantastic year ahead!

Summer Holidays!

We have reached the end of another successful year at Rush National School. We would like to wish all pupils, their families, staff and friends of Rush National School a lovely summer and well earned break.

Minibeasts

During winter, many insects hibernate. As the summer weather approaches, insects are starting to emerge and it is a great time to learn about them. Pupils in Room 8 have been observing and exploring the habitats and life stages of minibeasts.
