As our days get warmer and brighter, we can take our learning activities outdoors. Check back over the next few weeks for updates on school tours, sports days and many more outdoor events!
In Rush National School, we celebrated STEM week from 4th to 10th March. STEM week involves learning in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We had a jam packed week full of activities for all of our classes such as floating and sinking experiments, static electricity experiments, coding, Lego ‘design and build’ challenges …
World Book Day is a celebration of books and reading. It is marked in over 100 countries around the world. We, in Rush National School, take part by dressing up as our favourite characters. See if you can spot some familiar book characters in our ‘Happening Now’ page.
Our 6th class took inspiration from our local beach to create some artistic masterpieces. Take a look in the ‘Happening Now’ section for some more photos.
Be sure to check out some photos of some of our Halloween events in the ‘Happening Now’ section of our website.
Our Junior Infants, picture above, have settled in very well to their new school. Our school is a busy place with our pupils learning through exploration, song, play, sport, reading and writing to mention but a few. Keep up to date with our ‘Happening Now’ page which will be updated regularly throughout the school year.
We welcome our pupils back to school on Wednesday, 31st August. We hope you had a lovely summer and are feeling refreshed and excited for a fantastic year ahead!
